9.3.2 Dimming curve when IEC 62386-218 is implemented
Upon accepting the instruction “SELECT DIMMING CURVE (DTRO)” according to this document, the control gear shall behave as if it accepted “SELECT DIMMING CURVE (DTRO)” as defined in IEC 62386-218.
Upon accepting the query “QUERY DIMMING CURVE” according to this document, the control gear shall behave as if it accepted “QUERY DIMMING CURVE” as defined in lEG 62386-218.
9.3.3 DimmIng curve when IEC 62386-218 Is not implemented
The dimming curve defined in this document can be set using “SELECT DIMMING CURVE (DTRO)” and can be queried using “QUERY DIMMING CURVE”. The dimming curve shall be set according to the following steps:
• if “DTRO” 0: set “diinmingCurve” to ‘0’ and select the standard dimming curve;
• if “DTRO” 1: set “diminingCurve” to ‘1’ and select the linear dimming curve;
• in all other cases: no change.
If the linear dimming curve is selected, the light output shall be a linear function of the light level as defined in IEC 62386-218:2018, 9.2.
When the dimming curve is changed, the physical minimum level (PHM) shall also be adjusted to correspond to the physical minimum light output, which shall not be affected by the choice of dimming curve.
9.4 Load deviation
Detection of load increase and decrease is an optional feature.
If the feature is supported, both bit 2 and bit 3 of “features” shall be set to TRUE (see 9.6) and IEC 62386-216 shall be implemented.
Upon accepting the query “QUERY LOAD DECREASE” according to this document, the control gear shall behave as if it accepted “QUERY LOAD DEVIATION” as defined in IEC 62386-216.
Upon accepting the query “QUERY LOAD INCREASE” according to this document, the control gear shall behave as if it accepted “QUERY LOAD DEVIATION” as defined in IEC 62386-216.
Upon accepting the instruction “REFERENCE SYSTEM POWER” according to this document, the control gear shall behave as if it accepted “REFERENCE SYSTEM POWER” as defined in IEC 62386-216.AS NZS 62386.207 pdf download.
