6 MARKING
This Clause in Part 1 is applicable, except as follows:

6.1 Information to be marked on conduits
Conduits shall be marked with the following:
(a) The name of the manufacturer or responsible vendor, or a trade mark, or other identifying symbol.
(b) The nominal size.
(c) Classification for protection against corrosive and polluting substances (see Clause 13.4).
(d) One of the following as appropriate:
(I) ‘HEAVY DUTY’ or ‘HD’. (ii) ‘VERY HEAVY DUTY’ or ‘VHD’.
(e) If a conduit is non-threadable, it shall be marked ‘non-threadable’ or with the letters ‘NT’ or ‘nt’.

6.3 Information to be marked on fittings
Fittings shall be marked with the following:
(a) The name of the manufacturer or responsible vendor, or a trade mark, or other identifying symbol.
(h) The size of the conduit for which the fitting is intended or, alternatively, a catalogue number providing easy identification of the conduit size.
NOTE: Fittings do not have to be marked bnonthreadabIe.

6.101 Instructions for jointing of conduit in non-threadable fittings
The manufacturer or supplier of non-threadable fittings shall provide written information on the correct method for jointing a conduit into the spigot of a non-threadable fitting.
6.102 Instructions for adhesives or sealants for non-threadable fittings
Where the joining of a conduit to a non-threadable fitting involves the use of adhesives or sealants to achieve a satisfactory joint, the manufacturer or supplier of the non-threadable fitting shall provide written information about the type of adhesive or sealant to be applied and details covering its field use.
This information shall include the recommended operating temperature range for the joint produced.
7 DIMENSIONS AND FORM

7.101 Conduits
7.101.1 Outside diameter
The outside diameter of a conduit shall comply with the dimensions shown in Figure 101A and Table 101A or Figure 101B and Table 101B. The outside diameter shall be measured with any protective coating removed or an allowance shall be made for its thickness. Tolerances shall be 0.0,-0.3 mm for 20 mm and +0.01,- -0.4 mm for 25 mm to 50 mm. NOTE: This applies to both threadable and non-threadable conduits.AS NZS 2053.7 pdf download.
