This Standard was prepared by the Joint Standards Australia/Standards New Zealand Committee CH-025 Bitumen and Related Products for Roadmaking, as part of an overall program of revision and updating of the following series of products Standards related to bitumen:
AS
1160 Bitumen emulsions for the construction and maintenance of pavements
2008 Residual bitumen for pavements
2150 Hot mix asphalt
2157 Cutback bitumen
In the preparation of this series, reference was made to relevant Australian (AS) Joint Australian/New Zealand (AS/NZS), British (BSI and IP) and American (ASTM) Standards.
The methods are primarily intended for the servicing of relevant Standards for bitumen and related roadmaking products, hut may also find application in investigational field work.
